How do I start my free trial?
Open AfterFirst, tap the Pro banner or the crown icon, and choose Monthly or Yearly. Both plans begin with a 7-day free trial — you won't be charged until it ends.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, select AfterFirst Pro, and tap Cancel. You'll keep Pro until the end of your current billing period.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open the Pro paywall in the app and tap "Restore purchases". Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
Is my relationship data private?
Yes. Everything you log — dates, journal entries, partner preferences, photos — is stored only on your device in encrypted storage. We have no account system and can't see your data. Read our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete all my data?
In the app, go to Settings > Delete All Data. This permanently removes everything from your device immediately.
What does the AI Coach do with my questions?
Your question is sent anonymously to our secure server to generate advice, then discarded — conversations are never logged, stored, or used for training.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free includes 5 dates, events, gifts, and journal entries, 1 AI coaching message a day, and 2 themes. Pro unlocks 20 AI messages a day, unlimited logging, the date bucket list, all 11 themes, custom prompts and categories, all challenges, and backup import.
How do reminders work?
AfterFirst can remind you about upcoming anniversaries, birthdays, and events. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device — enable them in Settings and allow notifications when prompted.
Can I change the app's look?
Yes! Open Settings > Theme to browse all 11 handcrafted themes, from Noir to Lavender. (Most themes are Pro.)
