Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of AfterFirst, published by Bernada LLC ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

AfterFirst is a personal relationship companion: it helps you track dates, remember partner preferences, journal your relationship, and receive AI-generated relationship coaching. The app is for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Subscriptions

AfterFirst Pro is an auto-renewing subscription available monthly ($4.99/month) or yearly ($29.99/year), each beginning with a 7-day free trial.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, after any free trial ends.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

3. AI Coach — not professional advice

The AI Coach provides general relationship ideas and conversation support. It is not a therapist, counselor, or medical professional, and its output is not professional advice. Never disregard professional guidance because of something you read in the app. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

5. Intellectual property

AfterFirst, its design, themes, and content are owned by Bernada LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. Your own entries (dates, journal, photos) remain yours.

6. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains that your data stays on your device.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bernada LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Termination

We may suspend access for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time and delete your data from Settings > Delete All Data.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
